HOCKEY TIME

It's hockey time!! Blake's friend Josh gave us this cute warm up outfit when Owen was born and it fits him now. I thought I would post this now because I know it will make Blake smile while he is gone!!

MISSING BLAKE

Blake left on Thursday for one of his long work trips again. Before we had Owen it was a lot easier to be left but now it's so hard. I miss him the minute he's gone. I talked to him yesterday after he had been on a 17+ hour long flight and he sounded pretty good. We are going to miss him lots...and if he happens to read this we love you Blake!

TOLD YOU SO

When I bought this hat the first thing Blake said when he saw it was "it's not going to fit". Well husband of mine it does, so I appropriately titled this I told you so.

RARE SIGHTING

Since this rarely happens anymore I thought I might capture it! He rarely falls asleep in his car seat anymore. He sure is cute!

OWEN ON THE SAME PAGE

Owen must be on the same page I am because yesterday after I posted my nursing saga he refused to nurse! I hope I didn't make him feel bad for biting me but come on. So we are in a fast weaning process right now especially since he won't nurse.

SHOULD I FEEL BAD???

So I feel a bit bad. Remember that word bit as I continue...On Saturday morning I was nursing my son like I always do and within a millisecond I had excruciating pain shoot through my body....yep that's right..my son bit me!!!!!!!! I tried to nurse him some more after reprimanding him and then he did it again. For all you ladies that nursed to a year I bow down to you!! I made up my mind on Sat. that I was going to wean my son a little early because of these recent developments!! Then I started feeling guilty! Why, I have no idea. Then when I fed him again on Sunday morning he bit me again...not feeling so guilty now! The minute my son uses my breast as a teething toy it's OVER!!!

MT TIMPANOGOS

Owen loved being in here! He was laughing most of the time and kicking daddy the rest of the time!

My mom was a very big trooper clinbling up with us. This was the best spot with a view!!

Saturday we went up to Mt. Timpanogos for a hike in the rain. Blake was hesitant to go because it was right when the BYU game was on. But my mom told him not to worry she would record it for him! It was a great little hike and Owen seemed to enjoy it. The leaves were changing and it was great. I absolutely LOVE fall. I collected some leaves and Blake laughed at me for it but oh well! He also made fun of me for wanting to stop and take pictures but he always likes them afterwards!!

DIETS SUCK

I've been trying to get a little healthier so I am currently on this program that helps you decide what to eat and what exercises to do. I have actually been doing fine until today!!! Blake goes into the store and brings out this HUGE cinnamon roll (one of my favorites) and procedes to eat it right in front of me. The smell alone was killing me. Then he made this noise in between each bite mmmmm mmmmmmm mmmmm! I could've killed him. I shot him a look and he just smiled! I thanked him for being so supportive!

OUT OF COMMISSION

So my camera had to be sent away to be fixed...so no pictures for awhile. I bought it at Inkley's so they are fixing it for free however it may take up to 6 weeks!! Why so long you ask? Good question he said that was a normal time to fix it and I told the camera guy that needed to change!! Anyway new pics as soon as the camera gets back to me!!

A DAY AT GARDNER VILLAGE

We decided to go to Gardner Village for the afternoon. We went with my friend Jamie and her three kids. It was the most beautiful day. Owen was introduced to a pumpkin!!



These are Jamies three kids..Taylor, Chase, and Talon!! So cute!!

GRANDMA TIME

Owen and Grandma Linda went outside to play for awhile. Owen loves his grandma!! I am sure glad to have her around. She helps me a lot with Owen.

MORE TEETH

Yes its true. Owen now has 4 teeth!!!! The top 2 were even worse than the bottom for him. He is finally getting back to his "old" self!!

GOIN' SHOPPING

Owen is getting so big! He can now official sit in the shopping cart. I can't wait till he catches a viral infection from the handle!!!! He is so much fun!

I NEED SLEEP

I thought that once Owen was sleeping through the night I would get my sleep too. WRONG!! Blake has these reoccurring dreams that apparently I'm crushing the baby in bed. So he wakes up at least once a week in a frantic and says to me "is he alright" "where is he" while ransacking the bed! It would be fine if I could go right back to sleep but I can't so I am usually up for a few hours after. I wonder if he will ever outgrow these dreams!

I LOVE THIS GUY

Owen didn't want me to give him a kiss but I couldn't refuse. I love this guy soooo much!

MY FRIEND JACK

Owen and Jack are sure to become great friends. Owen is just a little over powering right now but as soon as Jack gets bigger I'm sure they will be great together!

TOO TIRED TO PLAY

This is how my morning went....Owen crawls toward stairs..mommy pulls him back...Owen crawls towards entertainment center...mommy pulls Owen back...mommy lets Owen play with his toy he can stand up with..Owen falls down and cries...mommy puts Owen in bouncy toy..Owen lays down head...much too tired to play!

STOP MOVING

After many hours of chasing Owen around I finally decided to place him in the laundry basket to stay for awhile. He didnt know what to think of it but he soon learned to enjoy it and mommy got a little break!

OUCH!!!!

Its hard to see in the picture but Owen hit his head on the TV cabinet and got his first official bump!!!

LABOR DAY FUN

We decided to go up to East Canyon for lunch on Labor day. It was a beautiful day. Owen just wanted to play in the stream. It was freezing. He also had fun playing with his friend Courtney!!

80's??????

NO MY SON IS NOT WEARING LEG WARMERS!!! These help protect his legs while crawling around everywhere. We took him outside with these on and all the neighborhood kids did not know what to think of them!

TROUBLE

My dear Owen has decided that he can now kneel and stand on whatever he wants. I went in to get him from his nap and he was to my surprise standing (and eating the crib)!!!!!! Then he fell! Scary for mom but Owen just laughed!!!
