CHRISTMAS IN THE MOTHERLAND

We celebrated Christmas this year in Toronto! It was really fun until Owen came down with a fever of 103! It lasted up until we left to come home and it scared me to death!! At Christmas dinner Owen sat with Grandma and they had a talking battle. Owen kept trying to get louder and louder..we were all laughing! On the plane ride home we had the one and only Shania Twain on our plane. Apparently Blake was suppose to sit next to her in first class because he always gets upgraded but I told him he had to sit back with me and Owen. He said I ruined his opportunity to get to know Shania! That she was his favorite. I asked him to name one song and he couldn't....that's what I thought. We loved Christmas in Canada! Owen even got to visit with his Great-Grandma!

SUPERMAN

So I can't blog a whole lot because I don't have Internet yet but I'm in Canada right now and need to post a little incident that happened last Friday. I put Owen down for a nap and went on to my usually activities (cleaning....it's always cleaning)! I was washing some dishes when I heard this huge bang that came from Owen's room. So I ran upstairs as fast as I could. I opened the door and to my surprise found my son on the ground with his bunny!! YEP ON THE GROUND!! He had apparently climbed out of his crib (don't ask me how) and not one cry!! So I have appropriately nicknamed him Superman!

SNOW

Every time it snows and Blake is out shoveling this is where Owen goes..to the window to check things out. He just watches...it's so cute!

Jack came over to visit Owen. I thought I would get this toy out for Jack since Owen doesn't have any interest in it anymore...OR I THOUGHT! Of course as soon as I put Jack in it Owen wanted it!!

CHRISTMAS BEFORE CHRISTMAS

We celebrated Christmas with my mom today because we are flying to Toronto on the 22nd. Owen was much more interested in the tree and the wrapping paper than anything else! Ignore my outfit in the top picture...I wanted pants to wear under my dress because I forgot a change of clothes!!

GO BYU

We went to San Diego over the weekend to see BYU play San Diego State. We went with our friends Mark and Nicole. YEP that's right no kids. It was a nice break but I missed Owen too! And thankfully BYU won because if not I would have heard Blake whining the whole way home!

Cortney came to visit today as well. She just wanted to cuddle Owen...very cute! She will be a very sweet BIG sister! I named the last picture "A look I inherited from my daddy"!

Thanksgiving fun

Today I decided to make turkey cupcakes for our Young Women's activity. Claire and Ethan came to visit so they joined in on the fun as well. They had lots of fun decorating these cupcakes but much more fun eating them! I thought they turned out pretty cute...but then I took them to my neighbors to share and my neighbor said..."how cute..snowmen!" WHATEVER!

NEW BABY

Without further adieu.......New Baby Boston!!! She doesn't have a name. She was born yesterday at 10:17 a.m. She is adorable. Alison seems to be recovering well..and unlike Owen this baby eats like a champ! The twins are also very excited to have a new baby sister!!

FIRST STEPS

Owen decided that on Saturday morning he was going to start walking. He took his first steps to his daddy! Then back again to me. It was quite exciting!!!

WE FOUND A HOUSE

I'm sorry I haven't posted anything new for a while but I have been busy! Many of you have heard that we found a house. Yes this is true! However, it's not finalized yet. It's in Salt Lake and it's a new home that was built after an old home was torn down. The best part is Blake and I both liked it!! Thought that might never happen. I will keep you updated. I love this picture. Don't you just ever wish you could hear what they are thinking!!!!

MY SKINNY MINI

So I took Owen to the doctor today for his nine month check-up. It was the first appointment that he didn't have to get any immunizations...BUT he got a flu shot...POOR GUY! He can't catch a break. He weighed:

17 pounds 4 ounces.....if any of you are curious that's 5th percentile
30.3 inches tall............that's 94th percentile


One extreme to the other!! My little guy is going to be one tall skinny boy!

HALLOWEEN FUN

Every year Blake's work has this huge Halloween party. I was really excited this year because I had Owen to take. Blake looks more like the Pope than a Woopie Cushion in our picture but that's okay. I'm not eating any candy right now but something came over me while I was there and I felt the need to hoard!! I got so much candy and it was all big candy bars! It must be the child in me.
